Chinese New Year

It’s Chinese New Year and I woke up pretty late.

You gotta just love that feeling of waking up whenever you feel like.

Went to visit my grandmother and saw all my cousin, aunts and uncles. We all do the usual thing we do each year which is to have casual talks with one another and catch up. I guess the time will come when I will have to answer this question, “When are you going to get married?”

Anyway, my uncle told me that he would hook me up with a private instructor so I’m looking forward to receiving my licence. Got to go take the highway code, it’s not open because it’s Chinese New Year…

Headed to Ion Orchard where my family and I had dinner. My mum demanded that we should take photos. Here they are.

New Year Eve

I was really looking forward to New Year Eve because I got to go to Malaysia to see her :)

I woke up, got ready and met Perry and Yee Lim at Ang Mo Kio where we headed to Kranji to meet Yang. When we reached there we realised that we needed some cash and so we decided to draw some money there. Waited for Yang and when he finally came, we boarded the bus 170 and headed to the Customs.

We went in and everything was pretty fast, I expected a long queue and stuff like that but it never happened. At Malaysia’s custom, there were no white forms and we were like, “now what?”

We just headed to the counter and I had a remark saying “no white form” or something along this line.

Reached City Mall and we looked around to see what we wanted to have for lunch and we settled with ‘Seasons’. After which, we had ice cream and from there we headed to our room which is next to Jusco.

Checked in and sat around a little, went to Jusco to shop for stuff like candy and chips etc.

First thing Yang did when he saw the toilet, “OMG ARE THE WINDOWS TRANSPARENT?’ He presses his chest against it.

Yang and I got ready first and headed over to the pub earlier. While on the overhead bridge we were contemplating on whether we should go in because we were like the first few people there and it might get a little awkward.

The night was a fun one for me and there were fireworks which are illegal in Singapore, lots of music and a whole new year ahead!

Woot, bak to bloggin….

Well, we wanted to watch avatar but it was so packed that only individual sitting were available. So, we decided to watch Sherlock Holmes as well and it was pretty good. A little humour in it here and there and I think it’s really interesting how Sherlock deduces information using all the minute details.

Anyway, Gabriel and Yee Lim had dinner before the show so Yang had dinner after the show. Sat at Carl’s Jr. watching Yang eat and we just drank a little from his refillable cup. After that we just went our separate ways home.

HOLIDAYS

Yes people, the holidays are here! The long anticipated date is finally here.

After the last paper yesterday, it was CELEBRATION time! I went for lunch with Perry and Graeme at FC 3 and met Yang and Sharlene there. We went to FC 3 for a specific reason; I had to hand in my GEMS report. After that, Perry came over to my house and Gabriel was already waiting outside my house for half an hour. Anyway, we jammed to about 5.30pm and we got changed and went to Plaza Singapura.

The original plan was to have Aston’s but the queue was insane and we couldn’t get reservations because Aston’s don’t offer reservations. After much contemplation and discussion with the guys, we went to Billy Bombers. Looked at the menu and it had a “Obama Burger” and I read the description and it said “Contains special black pepper sauce” I think it’s a pun right there.

Anyway, I’ll be heading over to Graeme’s house soon to have poker night! Yeah, I’m so psyched to, so many activities about to happen, especially next week! Can’t wait, it’s finally here, the opportunity.
